Developmental Models, Psychopathology and Healthcare Legislation for Children and Young People (995C8)

Autumn teaching

By the end of the module you will have gained knowledge in developmental models, psychopathology in CYP, and relevent legislation, polices and frameworks assocaited with working with CYP in mental health care. You will also be introduced to concepts in the therapeutic relationship and group processed as relevent to CYP. Sessions will include thoeretical teaching providing you with an overview of the topic area.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 36 hours of contact time and about 114 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology.
