Climate change: Impacts and Adaptation (838F8)

30 credits, Level 7 (Masters)

Spring teaching

This module explores critical questions about climate change adaptation. What are the impacts of exceeding 1.5°C warming? How should countries adapt, and who should bear the costs?

This module takes a big-picture look at how the world is adapting to climate change, using ideas from different fields of study. It focuses on fairness and justice while exploring:

  • how climate change affects us at different levels of global warming and the risks involved
  • how decisions are made when the future is uncertain and practical strategies to adapt in areas like health, water, and ecosystems
  • key policies and actions for adaptation, including the role of international organizations like the UN, funding for climate solutions, and addressing the losses and damage caused by climate change.
