Parking Panel and appeals
Please ensure you follow all parking rules and regulations while parked on site.
You can contact us via email at parkingpanel@sussex.ac.uk
If you wish to appeal a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN), please contact First Parking. See more information via the parking enforcement page.
If you wish to make a complaint or appeal about parking on campus, a permit application or the Parking Policy, contact the Transport Office in the first instance at transport@sef.fm.
If your appeal or complaint is not resolved, you can escalate it to the ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ Parking Panel for review via email at parkingpanel@sussex.ac.uk.
The Parking Panel processes parking applications for certain exceptional circumstances, responds to escalated complaints and appeals, and generally makes decisions enacting the Parking Policy.
The Parking Panel consists of the following members:
- ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ – Facilities Contract Manager (Chair)
- Students’ Union representative
- Professional Services representative
- Academic representative
- HR Representative (as required)
The Parking Panel meets regularly to make decisions regarding parking on campus, as per the policy. This includes:
- Appeals and complaints
- Applications for a carer's permit
- Applications for public transport accessibility
- Considering special cases for parking
- Changes in policy or parking facilities
Decisions made by the Parking Panel are final. You may, however, submit a new application or appeal if you have additional supporting evidence or information for your claim, or you have been asked by the Parking Panel to do so. If you are submitting an appeal for a paperless parking permit that was declined, please include your parking permit application number in your appeal.
