Mr Mark Devlin
Member appointed by Council on 1 October 2017. Re-appointed for a second term to 31 July 2023.
Mark is an experienced Board-level leader with CEO, Chair and Trustee experience in a wide range of public and charity sector organisations. At present, he is CEO of Young Epilepsy, the UK charity working to support children and young adults living with epilepsy. Prior to this he was COO with UNICEF UK, the leading international development and child rights charity.
Among his current Trustee roles, he is the Chair of St Martin-In-The-Fields Charity, which supports frontline homelessness work across the UK. He is also Chair of Trustees for Concern UK, and a member of the Irish parent board of directors for Concern Worldwide, a humanitarian aid and international development charity.
Previous leadership positions include senior executive and non executive roles within health management and education. These include NHS Trust CEO positions and as a Trustee of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
Mark is a Physiology graduate of Queen's University, Belfast with a Master’s degree in Health and Social Care Management from the University of Ulster.
