As a DISCnet postgraduate researcher, you will follow a four-year programme including: 

  • Taught courses in data intensive science skills, such as machine learning and high performance computing
  • Onling training in software carpentry
  • 6 months of industry placements working on data science research projects with partner companies, ranging from multi-nationals to SMEs and charities
  • Optional training and networking activities such as the STFC summer schoo, S2DS bootcamp and The Alan Turing Institute's Turing Connections Initiatives
