Quantitative and Qualitative Methods (C8300)

Spring teaching
On this module, you'll develop a theoretical understanding and practical ability to implement and analyse diverse research methods, including qualitative designs, self-report surveys and observational research. You'll explore themes around measurement and methodological diversity within psychology.
The module includes an assessed empirical report using these research approaches. You'll benefit from practical workshops, which complement lectures by offering hands-on experience and various types of group work.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 42 hours of contact time and about 108 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
