Spring teaching
Protests may inconvenience people, but also fulfil a vital function in a democracy by providing citizens with an opportunity to register their views outside of elections.
This module examines the history and importance of the right to protest and the criminal, human rights, civil and public law that comprise protest law.
We'll look at the law and how protests are managed by police in a broad context. You'll also be encouraged to think critically about current issues surrounding these topics.
