We have Core, University-led PGCE places remaining for 2025/26 in the following subjects:

We offer a two-year part-time route in all PGCE courses except Computing and Business, English and Drama and English and Media. 

School Choice PGCE (SCPGCE) and School Direct Salaried (SDSal) places

All our School Choice PGCE & School Direct trainees receive exactly the same support and training from the University as our Core PGCE trainees in addition to a PGCE Qualification. Please check with the Lead Partner School if you are considering part time, as this may not be possible with all School Choice PGCE or School Direct places.

All places include a Sussex PGCE Qualification of 90 Masters level credits at no further cost. 

The Lead Partner Schools manage School Choice PGCE & School Direct Salaried recruitment and administration for a group of other schools where candidates are placed for their training. The majority of our Lead Partner School Partnerships include both primary and secondary schools (and some 6th Form Colleges) with training in either phase available regardless of whether the Lead Partner School is secondary or primary.
