Jane Oakhill

Jane Oakhill is a Professor of Psychology at the ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ. She is an expert in reading comprehension. She has published widely (including in excess of 100 refereed journal articles), and has also co-authored and edited numerous books concerned with reading and comprehension.

Jane's most recent book is written for students and professionals, and makes no assumptions of knowledge of reading psychology or reading problems, surveys recent research on reading comprehension and comprehension problems in children. It examines reading comprehension difficulties, and ways in which comprehension can be supported and improved.
