Research

Prof Wiese's research interests include Jewish philosophy, modern European Jewish social and intellectual history, American-Jewish history, Zionism, the history of anti-Semitism, and the history of Jewish-non-Jewish relations. He is currently writing an intellectual biography on the philosopher Hans Jonas as well as a book on the radical Jewish Reform Movement in Germany and the USA in the 19th century. Furthermore, he is preparing a biography of the German Zionist Robert Weltsch.
