Research

Before I retired, I worked in the area of intelligent computer processing of human language (natural language processing, or NLP). Most of my research focussed on: natural language parsing, acquisition of lexical information from text, sentiment analysis, clinical text mining, and other applications of natural language processing to real-world tasks.
