60th anniversary matched funding

A visionary legacy donor has enabled Sussex to launch the 60th Anniversary Matched Fund Scheme. If you can help students at Sussex with a minimum donation of £1,000 in our 60th anniversary year, we will match your donation pound for pound.

Do you believe that university life is so much more than gaining a degree; that it should also be about growing-up, making life-long friends, discovering causes, and standing-up for values? For some students, battling cultural expectations or financial disadvantages means they may not be able to accept their place at ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ, or if they do, they may struggle to make the most of what should be a transformative experience. Your gift to the Anniversary Fund will help these students overcome these obstacles.

We will double your investment to help as many students as possible to gain the most from their time at Sussex. Your donation will be used to help students access a scholarship, or receive a hardship grant, or gain counselling support, or develop employability skills through a work placement. Your support will not only provide a safety net, but a steppingstone for the most disadvantaged students, enabling them to gain so much more from their time at Sussex.

This remarkable bequest to Sussex means that our alumni can double their support and in doing so improve the outcomes for countless students who face so many struggles. As a Sussex alumnus myself, it seems to fit perfectly within our DNA to celebrate our 60th birthday by giving hope and opportunity to the next generation of Sussex students.” Robert Yates (english and development studies, 1993)

Your donation is an investment in the future; allowing students to gain the most from their time at Sussex and become kind, thoughtful, brilliant people, with a Sussex degree.
