Assessment related forms

The following forms are provided for a student to make an application (where the criteria are met):

Forms for Academic Year 2024/25:

1.1 To bring forward a second resit from A3 (August) to the Semester 1 teaching period or A1 (January) to be scheduled at the same time as the next cohort - Application form to bring forward a second resit to S1/A1 24/25. This form is for students who are not registered who have a second resit from the previous academic year.

1.2 To bring forward a second resit from A3 (August) to the Semester 2 teaching period or A2 (May) to be scheduled at the same time as the next cohort - Application form to bring forward a second resit to S2/A2 24/25. This form is for students who are not registered who have a second resit from the previous academic year.

2.1 To bring forward a trailed resit from A3 (August) to the Semester 1 teaching period or A1 (January) to be scheduled at the same time as the next cohort - Application form to bring forward a trailed resit to S1/A1 24/25. This form is for students who are in the next stage of study who have a trailed resit.

2.2 To bring forward a trailed resit from A3 (August) to the Semester 2 teaching period or A2 (May) to be scheduled at the same time as the next cohort - Application form to bring forward a trailed resit to S2/A2 24/25. This form is for students who are in the next stage of study who have a trailed resit.

3. To take the resit mode of assessment in the resit assessment period, due to a religious, competitive sporting, work or internship committment which may clash with a scheduled exam - Application to defer A1 or A2 exam to A3 (religious etc) [DOCX 15.28KB]

4.  To take the resit mode of assessment in the resit assessment period, due to attendance at a wedding which clashes with a scheduled exam - Application to defer A1 or A2 exam to A3 (weddings etc) [DOCX 15.46KB]

5. To change a module trailed into the next stage (not for a core module) - Application to change a trailed non-core module [DOCX 18.64KB]

6. To vary a submission deadline as a result of a delayed placement - Application for a variation of assessment deadline

7. To replace an electronic submission where an error has been made in the upload process, resulting in the incorrect file being submitted, and it is no longer possible to upload a replacement file via the online system.  Application to replace a file submitted electronically [DOCX 26.62KB].  A flowchart is provided to support Schools E-submission error file [PDF 88.07KB].  This process is for Submission modes with a late submission period, for example, an essay.

8. To repeat an undergraduate stage of study (other than stage 1), instead of taking resits.  An application can be made following publication of results from the summer Progression and Award Board (PAB) - Application to repeat UG stage instead of resits

9. To defer a PGT Dissertation/Project from the resit assessment period to the Semester 1 assessment period of the following academic year. Application to defer PGT DISS/PRO to A1

10. For students undertaking a repeat year/semester or returning from temporary/permanent withdrawal, the Learning Agreement should be completed. The Learning Agreement guidance applies to all students on a repeat year/semester and students returning from temporary/permanent withdrawal.
