What is Brain Awareness Week?
Brain Awareness Week is the global campaign to foster public enthusiasm and support for brain science. Every March, participants host imaginative activities in their communities that share the wonders of the brain, and the impact brain science has on our everyday lives. Sussex Neuroscience are excited to host a number of events as part of Brain Awareness Week at Brighton Jubilee Library.
Sussex Neuroscience at Jubilee Library
From 12th to 17th March, Sussex Neuroscientists will be taking up residence in Jubilee Library, Brighton, answering questions from the general public and hosting interactive sessions to learn more about the brain.
Sussex Neuroscience - Living Books
Neuroscientists from the ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ will act as library books.Visitors can ‘take us off the shelf’ to chat. We’ll answer questions and chat about our research and anything brain-related.

Neuroscience in Action
An interactive demo (targeted to children). Dr Oli Steele (BSMS) will show how electrical activity in the brain controls our movement and actions. All welcome.

Making Marks with the Brain
An art workshop for children (8+) hosted by Prof, Judith Pratt and artist Hilary Kennett. Learn how our brains influence our feelings memories and behaviour and makes us who we are.
