2089I'm a Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) and I can't sign off a PG application to say I approve it.
Directors of Graduate Study (or DGS) have to approve PG Research degrees. The system that existed before the online system involved them signing a paper form. Now with the new online system the Postgraduate Co-ordinator needs to set you up as a Selector in the 'RECOMMEND' role. This would allow you to see the application on Sussex Direct and use the recommendation form to make your approval.
