Abstract
Vehicle to Grid/V2X is emerging as a critical technology to help grid stability and load balancing as intermittent renewables come on stream. The aggregate benefits of harvesting vehicle battery storage is significant and the economic up-side very material. However, aligning the competing interests of energy services players, grid operators, distribution networks and automotive manufacturers – with consumer and business demands is challenging. This talk will explore the landscape, key players, policy decisions (including tax and incentives) and high level business models that will be required to maximise the opportunity.
